St. Stephen's Basilica

St. Stephen's Basilica

View up into the cupola of St. Stephen's Basilica (Szent István-bazilika) in the Buda side of Budapest, Hungary. The Basilica is quite recent, finished construction in 1905, so it is well preserved. It is named after the first King of Hungary (c 975–1038), whose mummified fist is evidently housed in the reliquary (though unfortunately I did not know this at the time of visiting).
